Restoration Ministries invites you to an extended time of silence and solitude on this unique spring retreat at Pacem in Terris.

Will the entire retreat be in silence? Silence will be kept from morning until an optional group spiritual direction time after dinner each evening. For those who wish to keep silence for the entire duration of the retreat, you may choose not to participate in group spiritual direction.
Daily Rhythm: We will meet for a lectio divina prayer time each morning at 9:00am. At 2:00 there will be an optional guided prayer time. Dinner will be in silence at 5:00. We will close the day with an optional group spiritual direction time, during which each person will have an opportunity to name what they are noticing in their time with God while the other participants prayerfully listen.
Food: Pacem in Terris supplies a replenishable food basket containing home baked bread, cheese, date walnut bran muffin, and fruit. Restoration Ministries will supplement breakfast with a yogurt bar and hard boiled eggs, and will provide a hot dinner each evening.
Lodging: Retreatants have a choice between staying in their own private hermitage or in a private guest room in the St. Joseph House. You can find pictures of the lodging options on Pacem’s website: https://www.paceminterris.org/experience-pacem/the-hermitages The hermitages are supplied with a propane lamp, stove and heater, twin bed, rocking chair, deck and some basic supplies (flashlight, towels, washcloth, bedding, soap, coffee/tea, rain poncho, umbrella, insect repellent). There are clean, comfortable outhouses within a short walking distance. Hermits may also use the main guest house with flush toilets and showers. (Towels and basic shower supplies are provided.)
If more “creature comforts” appeal to you, you may choose to stay at the St. Joseph House, where we will be eating our meals and gathering for prayer. The St. Joseph House has electricity, plumbing, five private bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a kitchen.

Investment: Restoration Ministries is asking for a one-time registration fee of $175 to cover staff time, materials, supplemental food and dinner. Pacem in Terris has a suggested minimum donation of $140 per night. Each retreatant will be responsible for giving their contribution to Pacem at the end of their stay.
