This group is based on the book Trusting God in the Wilderness, which is a 40-day devotional meant to be used during Lent. Each reading is about two pages and includes question(s) for reflection. You are invited to read the devotional daily and spend a short amount of time reflecting on the questions for reflection. We will meet weekly to pray through what we are noticing as we read and reflect.

“My participation in the Centering Prayer Group offered by Restoration Ministries has greatly contributed to my spiritual health and well-being. As a pastor, I love the ministry of serving others in Jesus’ name, but it can also take a great toll on my own spiritual and emotional health. Having an opportunity to meet with a small group of other ministers who share similar struggles and concerns, provides me and us with an opportunity to “fix our eyes upon Jesus” as we contemplate and pray silently together in our little community. I come away feeling refreshed, renewed, and cared for. The mornings we meet are anticipated as a time and place of rest! ”
– Rev. Susan T“I have been so grateful for the opportunity to gather with other pastors and ministers to learn about and practice centering prayer. The rhythm of gathering together for centering prayer is one that I look forward to each month. It has been an experience of both learning and finding deep rest in the quiet stillness of centering prayer. The facilitation has been excellent. Kim has created a welcoming and safe place for us to gather, and she expertly and gently leads us into and out of a time of centering prayer. I see the ways this experience is opening up new places in my relationship with God–a new way of our being together. It is so good.” – Rev. Laura Van Norman
The Trust for the Meditation Process has helped make these groups possible through a grant. Restoration Ministries desires that participants pay it forward so future groups can meet and benefit from the experience. Donations are gratefully received.
